5 Favorite Physical Therapy Items

Recently we shared 5 Favorite Sensory Play Items by our Administrative Coordinator, Rebecca Kuntz*, who is also mom to Ellie who is 7 years old diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other medical conditions. Today we have Rebecca and Ellie’s top 5 favorite physical therapy items!

  1. Scooter

This large two person scooter is perfect for sibling fun! It can be used if your child is working on sitting balance, army crawling, leg pushing or loves to spin and scoot!

2. Stepping Stones

These textured stepping stones can be used indoors or outdoors to work on walking, balance, and coordination. Create an obstacle course and make up an imaginative play story to go along with the course!

3. Tower Step Stool

For children who need a varied level of physical support, this tower can be used to bring the child to counter top or table height to engage in inclusive play while working on weight bearing through their legs.

4. Climbing Wedge

Foam steps and wedge can help a child work on rolling, climbing, and stepping up and down. The bright colors would be a cheerful addition to any play room or therapy room!

5. Accessible Outdoor Play Patio

Newly released Step 2 play patio is a dream item for accessible play! The grill and countertop area is tall enough for a wheelchair, walker, or stander to roll underneath it to be able to play side by side!
