Overview:
The Virtual Field Trip series provides high-quality, accessible programming for TNP schools that share the lives and accomplishments of disabled adults. The program supports disabled students’ development of identity pride and nondisabled students’ understanding of disability as a natural and expected part of human diversity.For All Students:
Students from PreK-12 can attend The Nora Project's Virtual Field Trips. They feature presentations about disability, disability rights, disability history and culture, and key disability studies concepts such as universal design and models of disability.Featured Presenters:
Each school year brings new Virtual Field Trips for participating schools and districts. Attendees are introduced to exciting presenters and a wide variety of topics. Previous presentations have included James Catchpole, Daniel's Music, and AXIS Dance Company. Virtual Field Trip presenters tailor their content to ensure that it will connect readily with students of different age levels, and classroom teachers can use their discretion to determine if their class would like to join each event.
