Our Commitment to our School Partners
The Nora Project offers participating teachers more than just curricular materials. In addition to providing comprehensive teacher guides, resources, required technology, and professional development resources, The Nora Project also offers the following benefits to teachers:
Training Camp
All participants are offered the opportunity to attend our summer training camp, free of charge. This professional development opportunity provides training in best practices in inclusion, disability awareness, leadership, and specific program training. Storyteller Project Leaders, STEMpathy Club Facilitators, and Primer Pack Lead Teachers will be required to attend this training.
On-demand Coaching
The Nora Project has a dedicated staff member for each of our programs whose primary focus is to ensure the success of that program in schools. Teachers are encouraged to reach out with questions, concerns, and feedback throughout the year.
Program Directors can support teachers by brainstorming ideas, assisting with problem solving, creating additional materials as needed, and collaborating with teams of teachers and administrators to ensure the success of the program(s) in that school.
Access to our Inclusion Specialist, Social Worker, and Librarian
The Nora Project offers teachers the chance to collaborate with a certified Special Education Coach, Social Worker, and Children’s Librarian on-demand.
Built-in Classroom Supports
Our Primer Pack comes with Google Slides for each lesson for efficient and visually enhanced delivery of lessons.
All of our materials include step-by-step tutorials, supplemental materials, and teacher guidance to ease implementation and support teachers in delivering materials with fidelity.
Suggestions for differentiation and modification are provided, and teachers are trained in how to adapt the materials to meet the needs of all learners and settings.
Tools, training, and strategies for working in a co-taught classroom are provided.
Access to our Network of Volunteers
Volunteers can be made available to assist with on- and off-site support for Project Leaders and classroom teachers, particularly for our Primer Pack and Storyteller Project.
Use of Back-End Tools
We recognize how busy teachers are and how easy it is to miss a deadline or forget about a requirement. That’s why we have built a suite of tools for teachers to use to help them to be successful. This includes calendars, checklists, meeting agendas with professional development resources, and a personalized Trello dashboard that is monitored and supported by our Program Staff on a weekly basis.
Access Data Collection Tools and Analysis
Our Primer Pack and Storyteller Project materials include data collection tools. While data collection is mandatory in at least one classroom per program, per school, all participating classrooms are invited to collect student data using our Impact Surveys. Our Data Specialist will gladly provide reports upon request with data analysis for the students at your school to be used to demonstrate program effectiveness. You can also access our Impact Reports here
Staff Development Materials
For schools interested in bringing the topics and themes presented in our classroom programs to an adult-learning setting, TNP programs will also include access to our Staff Development lessons. These will be short lessons that can be delivered during staff meetings or team meetings as an introduction to TNP programs and their underlying concepts, topics, and themes such as empathy, understanding disability, and best practices for inclusion.
