How to Bring TNP to Your School

As we approach our fifth birthday in June this year, I can’t help but look back at our growth as an organization and smile. When I accepted a job with The Nora Project, we were working with a dozen schools. Today? We’re working with fifty!

Bringing TNP programs to your school is a simple process customized to your school’s needs. You can begin by completing an inquiry form on our website and a TNP staff member will reach out to you to learn more about your school, your students, and the type of programming that would best suit your needs. If you already know exactly what programs you’d like to implement, you can go ahead and register on our new intranet platform, WeThrive.

We love working with schools to ensure that our curriculum fits logically into existing programming and complements what kids are learning in other subjects and with other programs. When you meet with a TNP staff member, we’ll discuss the programs you currently use to teach social/emotional learning and about the structure of your school. Together, we will identify which programs are the best fit, whether it’s one of our Lifecycle Suite of Programs or a Jump Start Unit, or both!

Instead of asking our partner schools to adapt to fit our programs, we provide suggestions for how to adapt our programs to meet your needs. This isn’t a one and done process, either. When your school takes on our Lifecycle Programs, you’ll get on-demand access to a dedicated Program Director who is there to answer questions, provide support, and brainstorm ideas for how to make sure teachers are supported throughout the entire year-long implementation. Teachers can also tap into our Inclusion Specialist, award-winning teacher Dr. Janie Avant, for support with creating an inclusive classroom environment, developing modified materials, and brainstorming ideas for meeting all students’ needs.

Still not sure if you’re ready to take the plunge, consider what our current partners are saying:

Just THANK YOU. I continue to be impressed with TNP & The Primer Pack - how rich the content is, how well-thought-out, user friendly and adaptable it is for a variety of teaching and learning styles, and your support and responsiveness to feedback.
— Heather Pearl, St. James Verona Preschool
The Nora Project reinforced the importance of explicitly teaching social & emotional skills. Learning can only happen if students know themselves well and know how to create healthy relationships in the classroom. The Nora project helped me create a safe, healthy and supportive classroom community.
— Stephanie Yoson, James Monroe Elementary School
There was a noticeable difference in [students’] behavior in the classroom. I believe that the students are learning to listen to other’s stories of who they are, what they think; and in doing so, students are feeling empowered to be more transparent because they trust they will be accepted for who they are.
— Kimberly Kinser, Middle School Teacher, Greater Atlanta Christian School

So, what are you waiting for?! We can’t wait to work with you to bring TNP to your school community. For a direct line into the process, email me, katy@thenoraproject.ngo.
